Google Fit
Google has announced that it will discontinue support for the Google Fit app on mobile devices on June 30,
2025. Biocare previously used Google Fit to access the following data:
- We will use https://www.googleapis.com/auth/fitness.blood_pressure.read to display a user's diastolic and systolic blood pressure on the Biocare app's summary screen so that users may monitor their blood pressure through the Biocare app.
- We will use https://www.googleapis.com/auth/fitness.body_temperature.read to display a user's temperature on the Biocare app's summary screen so that users may monitor their temperature through the Biocare app.
- We will use https://www.googleapis.com/auth/fitness.body.read to display a user's weight on the Biocare app's summary screen and calculate the user's BMI so that users may see their fitness progress through the Biocare app.
- We will use https://www.googleapis.com/auth/fitness.heart_rate.read to display a user's Heart Rate on the Biocare app's summary screen, allowing users to get insight into their heart rate statistics via the Biocare app.
- We will use https://www.googleapis.com/auth/fitness.oxygen_saturation.read to display a user's blood oxygen number on the Biocare app's summary screen, allowing users to get insight into their blood oxygen statistics via the Biocare app.
- We will use https://www.googleapis.com/auth/fitness.sleep.read to display a user's sleep time and a chart on the Biocare app's summary screen. Users will be able to track their sleep time daily.
- We will use https://www.googleapis.com/auth/fitness.activity.read to display a user's steps, walking, and running value as a chart on the Biocare app's summary screen. Users will be able to track their daily workout routine.
Users who previously connected Google Fit may still have access to historical data until Google fully deprecates the service. We recommend users switch to Health Connect for continued data syncing.
